Reset your account password

Learn how to reset your account password.

This article applies to all TeamViewer users.


How to reset your account password

If you are not able to sign in with your account

In the Remote interface

  1. Go to https://web.teamviewer.com/.
  2. Enter your e-mail address and click Continue.
  3. Click on Forgot your password?.
  4. Enter your e-mail in the dedicated field, confirm the Captcha, and click Send.
  5. Access your inbox, open the e-mail called Password reset request, and click on Reset Password.
  6. You will be redirected to set up your new password. Enter your new password in the dedicated fields and click Save.


In the (Classic) interface


  1. Open TeamViewer (Classic).
  2. Click on Forgot password.
  3. You will be redirected to the password reset page in your browser. Enter the e-mail associated with your TeamViewer account and click Change password.
  4. Access your inbox, open the e-mail called Your TeamViewer password reset link, and click on Approve Request.
  5. You will be redirected to set up your new password. Enter your new password in the dedicated fields and click OK.

Via the Management Console

You can also reset your TeamViewer account password via the Management Console.

  1. Go to https://login.teamviewer.com/
  2. Click Forgot password?.
  3. Enter your e-mail and click Change Password.
  4. Access your inbox, open the e-mail called Your TeamViewer password reset link, and click on Approve Request.
  5. You will be redirected to set up your new password. Enter your new password in the dedicated fields and click OK.


If you are able to sign in with your account

In the Remote interface


  1. Go to https://web.teamviewer.com/ and sign in to your account.
  2. Click on your profile icon in the top-right corner and click Edit profile.
  3. Go to the Account tab and click on Password.
  4. Enter your old password and your new password in the respective fields and click Save.



In the (Classic) interface


  1. Click your user icon on the top right corner of the interface and click Edit account
  2. Go to Account and change your password in the respective password field.
  3. To confirm, click OK.
