Create an assignment configuration - 7/9

The assignment command contains all parameters we have previously set up. Deploying it through your IT infrastructure will apply what you have defined in the previous steps.

This article applies to Corporate and Tensor license holders who want to deploy TeamViewer (version 15 or newer) on their Windows devices.

How to create an assignment configuration

To create an assignment configuration, please follow the instructions below:

  1. Log in to the Management Console: https://login.teamviewer.com/LogOn.
  2. Navigate to Design & Deploy
  3. Open the Assignment tab (only visible if you are a company administrator and if you are a Tensor agent)
  4. Click the + buttonto add a new configuration:
    1. Select a name for your new configuration that lets you quickly identify your configuration for later use.
    2. (optional) select the managers who need the permissions to administrate the device. The managers will get the following permissions: "Manager", "Device", and "Policy Administration".
      • (optional) select the device groups the device should be put into after the deploymentOnce you have finished the assignment via the command line, you can use the Management Console to: allow Easy Access
      • (if needed) add additional managers
      • add devices to groups
      • change permissions
    3. Click "Save"
  5. Click the copy to clipboard icon. This will copy the assignment ID to your clipboard.

How to delete an assignment configuration

To delete an assignment configuration, please follow the instructions below:

  1. Log in to the Management Console: https://login.teamviewer.com/LogOn.
  2. Click on Design & Deploy.
  3. Open the Assignment tab (only visible if you are a company administrator and if you are a Tensor agent).
  4. Click the trash button to remove a configuration.

This action will only remove the configuration template, so it can no longer be used for further assignments. Already assigned devices are not affected by this deletion.
